Solar and Battery Backup for Zero Down
We hear that a lot, and it’s a fair reaction. Solar Plus isn’t a traditional solar sales offer — it’s a program structured and administered by the Clean Energy Alliance, San Diego County’s own Community Choice Energy provider, delivered through a short list of Certified Partners.
HomeLink Solar is one of those Certified Partners. Instead of a large payment upfront, you agree to buy the energy your system produces under clearly stated program terms, which we walk through with you before you enroll.
No hidden promises, no pressure to sign on the spot. Just a defined program with terms you can read in full first.

No. Unlike most solar financing, Solar Plus doesn't run a credit check. Eligibility comes down to your address and whether your utility service area participates in the program, not your credit score or income.
Nothing upfront. There's no installation bill and no separate solar loan. You pay for the energy your system produces through your existing utility bill, at a structured program rate meant to stay stable over time.
Onsite construction is usually done in about a week. The full process, from enrollment through design, permitting, and utility interconnection, generally takes three to four months before your system is fully operational.
You're never billed for it. Panel and battery repairs or replacements are covered under the Solar Plus program for its full term, and battery service runs through Tesla's own support platform.
Yes. You can buy out your system at any point at its fair market value if you'd rather own it than continue on the program rate.
Yes, through the Solar Plus Renters Program. With the landlord's written approval, the system is installed on the property and the tenant enrolls in the program's electric service rate directly.
HomeLink Solar is an official Certified Partner listed directly on the Clean Energy Alliance's Solar Plus program page, alongside a small number of other vetted installers. We enroll and install; CEA administers the program itself.
