SOLAR SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Solar Service Terms & Conditions

By paying the $200 service fee to HomeLink Solar, LLC (“Service Provider” or “HomeLink Solar”), the customer (“Customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions for the solar service visit:

1. Scope of Work (SOW)

HomeLink Solar agrees to perform the following services during the initial visit to the customer’s solar photovoltaic system (the “System”):

  • Service Fee: The initial service visit costs $200, which includes troubleshooting the System and up to two (2) hours of diagnostic and repair work, if possible.
  • Additional Time: If more than two (2) hours of labor are required, additional hours will be billed at $85 per hour. Any additional work beyond the initial two hours will only proceed after providing an estimate to the customer and receiving approval to continue.
  • If the customer purchases a new solar system, additional solar capacity, or battery storage system(s) from HomeLink Solar within [time period, e.g., 12 months], the cost of the initial service call will be credited toward that purchase.

2. Exclusions

The following are excluded from the Scope of Work:

  • Warranty work on equipment or materials installed by other parties.
  • Modifications, replacements, or upgrades to the System.
  • Roof penetrations made by any installer other than HomeLink Solar are not addressed, resolved, or warranted under any circumstances.

3. Assessment & Limitations

HomeLink Solar did not install the System and is not responsible for any pre-existing issues, poor workmanship, or faulty materials. Additional issues that may be discovered during service, but are not covered by this agreement, will be communicated to the customer. A separate agreement or additional charges may apply for addressing such issues.

4. Liability

HomeLink Solar will not be liable for:

  • Any pre-existing damage to the System or property.
  • Future performance or failure of the System unless directly related to work performed by HomeLink Solar under these terms.

5. Warranties

HomeLink Solar provides a limited two (2) year workmanship warranty for labor performed during the service visit. This warranty does not cover equipment failure, manufacturer defects, or issues related to the original installation.

6. Customer Obligations

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing HomeLink Solar with full access to the System.
  • Disclosing any known issues or defects with the System prior to the service visit.
  • Ensuring that the System is safely accessible for technicians.

7. Payment Terms

  • Service Fee: The initial service visit costs $200, which includes up to two (2) hours of labor.
  • Additional Charges: Any labor beyond the two (2) included hours will be billed at $85 per hour. The customer will receive an estimate for additional charges, and approval will be required before further work is performed.
  • If the customer purchases a new solar system, additional solar capacity, or battery storage system(s) from HomeLink Solar within [time period, e.g., 12 months] of the service call, the $200 service fee will be credited toward that purchase.

8. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless HomeLink Solar, its employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the original installation or faults unrelated to the services performed.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions will be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising under these terms will first be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If no resolution is reached, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation or arbitration before pursuing litigation.

10. Termination

HomeLink Solar may terminate or suspend services if unsafe conditions are discovered or if unforeseen issues prevent the completion of the work. The customer agrees to pay for all services rendered prior to termination.
